This is a great system with very good and useful features. Smart call blocker and message screening working fine. The provided manual is very good. But I am still learning it for all the included features I do not experiment with yet, like setting individual ringer volume or turn it off for each headset. I do not try that yet.
The major selling point is the Smart Call Block feature!! Unwanted or unidentified callers MUST push a button to be connected. GOOD BYE ROBOCALLS!! That easy!! Love these phones!!
Have had this for over a month now, and am so happy with it. My previous system had so many issues with call quality, it was hard to have a conversation. This system is so nice, not a single call issue. Also, having so many phones within our large house means almost just reaching for a phone without having to run to another room to answer. Very happy I got this.
I gave this as a Christmas gift to my elder parents ( both in their 90's). I place one in every room of their house to make it easy for them to reach the handset. The connections was quick and easy. They love the new system!
I will concentrate on what the phone doesn't deliver that I wish it did. (1) I wish it allowed me to assign a name to each handset instead of just a number. (2) When the literature says it's wall mountable, they only refer to the base station. I wish there were some way to attach each handset charger to a wall.
Beyond that, this appears to be much better than the Panasonic phones that it's replacing. Audio quality is excellent, even with the speaker phone, and the people on the other end of the call report excellent audio as well... even when on speaker.
There are a ton of features. I heartily recommend this for someone who needs handsets than the average buyer.
I needed a new home phone & answering system. I chose this particular Model due to Smart Caller Blocking and also because I wanted 6 Handsets. After a very easy set-up, robocalls have stopped, yet friends are able to call in / leave messages. I can also easily forward calls to 1 of 2 cell phones. I’m very pleased with this.
These phones are of high quality, clear, and easy to operate. More features that I really need but I guess more is better. I would highly recommend purchasing them.
Our new I-phone would not connect to our older AT&T set of phones. We were very pleased that the new set did allow the new cell phone to connect to the system. New system is very similar to the old. It works very well.
They are Great!!! The voice you here over the phones is excellent & the voice they hear is excellent. We like the ability to block unknown phone calls. The ringing on the phones & the number key size is excellent. We are glad we upgraded our old att phones.
Our phones arrived in a timely manner but one of the chargers was defective. I contacted customer service and they immediately sent a replacement with no hassle The phones work great and I'm glad we choose these
Needed these for the extra extensions it provides for my large home. Easy setup/ clean clear sound/ like the pop up when incoming calls come in given you the option of blocking the call and auto installing in the blocked call list.
Overall this is a great system. It is not quite as intuitive to use as I would like but with the manuals it can be done. After you get use to it, you can use it effectively.
We compared other brands and sellers, and this seemed to be the best value for the eight handset system we needed. Once we got it, it was a breeze to install and set up for use. After we started using it, we realized how many useful features this system contains. Now we would say the value of the product and seller has exceeded our expectations.
It's a pretty good system, except for the labeling of the handsets. They are only registered and labeled with a number that cannot be edited to a location name. I have to remember that the upstairs office is "Handset 6", the kitchen "Handset 4", etc.
There are a lot of things I like about this phone system- like the spam call elimination system and the expandability to 12 handsets , but the range could be better and I really wish AT&T would develop a range extender. In addition, I would like to see a more prominent notification when there is a phone company voicemail waiting. My old system flashed a light on top of the handsets. Otherwise, this phone system is nearly ideal.
I like, very much, that the device not only keeps track of the time, but the Date as well. The system does more tricks than I'm familiar with. I look forward to figuring out how to make it those extra things.
This set is pretty nice, however, we have always had sets with up to 10 speed dials. This set only has one! all of the other features work pretty well. I don't like the cell phones ringing all the handsets so I have disabled that function.
The phone seems to work fine, and basic setup was easy. However, instructions about some of the other features, such as call blocking, could be written more simply and clearly.
It works great, and holds eight phones. Very easy to set up. The only thing I don’t really care for, is that you cannot name the handsets. They are numbered one through eight. I would rather call them kitchen, family room, bedroom one, etc.
Great Phone Except for Number of Rings to Answer & Number of Fully Functional Phones
I am 77 and it takes me a while to get to the phone but the answering machine insists on allowing no more than 4 rings before it picks up. My older version of this phone by AT&T allowed 6 rings. Many people hang up before I can get to the phone.
The Smart Caller Block and Allow means that I generally would like to answer the call when the phone rings. If I do not want the caller I do not answer and immediately add that caller to the block list.
I did not realize that only five of the phones are fully functional. I could have purchased the smaller system if I had realized I would keep my old system for its answering system so I could have 6 rings.
So Kudos for a very large directory and caller block database but thumb down on the number of rings and only 5 fully functional phone sets.
The directions do easily explain how to add additional phones in thee future so it is not necessary to purchase the max number allowed on a phone base initially.
Purchased 4 months ago, AT&T 8 Handset Cordless Phone. We love the 8 phones due to mobility problems. Working fine. Hate the batteries - had a system that used AAA batteries previously but this system's are much smaller. Plan on keeping them in there cradles most of the time. We have not used the bluetooth cell phone feature, it doesn't seem like it is worth hassle because of the limited range.
We purchased these phones because the phone company repair person said it had a long range. They work perfectly upstairs close to the modem but several of the units downstairs says they are out of range. We have an extender for the WI-FI but know of no “booster” for the phones. The phones in the kitchen, bedroom and great-room are almost useless. I called for support from your company and they told me to contact AT&T. The tech support person at AT&T told me there was no solution. I had waited over 45 minutes for support and finally requested a call back which took almost 24 hours. I am not happy.
